January 2012 - Opportunity to invest in Forest Fuels
As the new year dawns there are huge opportunities for the woodfuel industry. The Government’s long-awaited Renewable Heat Incentive has started and wood fuel is now the cheapest form of heating in the UK. Forest Fuels is extremely well positioned to take advantage of these opportunities – we are probably the largest Premium Grade woodfuel supplier in the country and have 11 depots from Truro to Sheffield to North London, as well as a strong & experienced staff team, and a secure order book of contracts.
Because the market is moving very fast, to really maximise the potential there is a relatively short time window. In order to capitalise on our existing position in the market, we are raising money by offering individuals the opportunity to buy shares in our business. We have partnered with an Exeter-based organisation CrowdCube to do this (http://www.crowdcube.com/investment/forest-fuels-renewable-heat-10502).
The money that we raise will enable us to
- Develop our ESCO business, where we own install and operate a boiler on a customer’s site and charge the customer for the heat it produces.
- Continue our geographical expansion
- Invest in stock
The minimum investment is £10, and we are looking to raise between £125,000 and £350,000 in total.

January 2012 - Forest Fuels launch “Pellet Box” - revolutionary new pellet box delivery system.
Forest Fuels has launched a new concept in small-scale pellet delivery – the “Pellet Box”.
Using this revolutionary new system, pellets are delivered to your door in a refillable plastic cartridge of half or one tonne, completely removing the problems inherent in pallets of bagged pellets. There are no plastic bags to open or dispose of; the Pellet Box can sit outside without fear of the pellets being damaged by rain; and reordering is easy.

Sam Whatmore wins Green Energy Awards Renewable Energy Champion of the Year
Forest fuels founder and Director Sam Whatmore last night won the Green Energy Award for Renewable Energy Champion of the Year. Sam’s efforts over the last 10 years have been a very large part of the development of the wood fuel industry in the South West, and this award as a very well deserved recognition of his achievement.
