What is a Wood Fuel Heat Supply Contract – HSCo?

A Heat Supply Contract is a service agreement whereby Forest Fuels acting as an Energy Service Company (ESCo) will design, plan, supply, install, maintain, provide fuel for and support a biomass wood boiler at a given site for a period of up to 20 years.

The site pays for the heat supplied and has no boiler capital costs to pay.

Key benefits to the site are:

  • No capital costs to install a boiler
  • Reduced heating costs compared to some other fossil fuels
  • Long term agreement on heat supply costs
  • Guaranteed fuel supply
  • De coupling from fossil fuel price escalators
  • Significant reduction in carbon emissions
  • Balanced budget plan for monthly payments for heat used
  • Option to benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive
  • Maintenance free solution
  • Possible cash back for an existing boiler
  • Built in redundancy alongside other technology
  • No disruption to existing systems
  • Removal or reduction of risk
  • Reduction of internal administration
