Peter Solly is Managing Director 

A Chartered Forester with wide experience of countryside and business management, his previous roles include 10 years at SW-based environmental contracting firm Silvanus Services Ltd, latterly as an owner/Director.

Sam Whatmore is the founder of Forest Fuels. 

Now a Director, and with over eleven years’ experience in woodfuel production and a further 20 years’ managing woodlands, he heads up our consultancy and advisory service.

Sam is recognised as one of the leaders of wood fuel in the UK, was named Sustainable Energy Champion of the Year 2011, and was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts for his controbution to wood fuel.  He is currently Vice Chair of the UK Wood Fuel Suppliers group.

Will Frost is Operations Manager for Forest Fuels

He joined Forest Fuels in summer 2008 and manages the woodfuel depots and customer contracts in the South West. Will is a qualified Forester with a wide range of forestry and small business development experience in both England and East Africa!

Howard Towns is General Manager for English Wood Fuels in the Midlands and East

Howard runs our English Wood Fuels business, based from the regional office near Melton Mowbray. Howard has been with English Wood Fuels for a number of years and previously worked in utility arboriculture and forestry & harvesting.

Jason Gallagher is Operations Manager for Silvapower in Yorkshire

Jason has been with Silvapower for 5 years and has developed good wood fuel experience. He managed the Silvapower contracts in South Yorkshire.  Previously he worked in countryside management and environmental consultancy.

Jacqui Bond is Operations Coodinator

Jacqui joined the team in 2010 and is probably the person you will speak to when you place an order

David Newman is Head of Sales and Business Development 

David has had a varied career in sales and management roles, most recently heading up a fast growing waste recycling firm.  He leads our sales and business development.  When not at Forest Fuels he spends time sailing his classic yacht from South Devon
