The South West’s leading woodfuel supply and woodland management services company.
Forest Fuels was established in 2000 by Sam Whatmore, since when it has become the leading producer and supplier of woodchip for fuel in the south west. With over seven years’ experience in woodchip production and a further 20 in managing woodlands, Forest Fuels’ team provides unrivalled advice and consultancy services in all aspects of woodland management and woodfuel production including processing, handling, storage and delivery.
The company generates over 3,000 tonnes of woodchip and logs per annum from a range of sources including forestry, sawmill residues and recycled materials.
Forest Fuels has extensive experience of managing woodlands and in particular, the restoration of ancient woodland sites in line with current government policy and as part of the Woodland Trust’s PAWS initiative. Through its woodland management services the company produces a reliable supply of woodfuel, secures and encourages bio-diversity on important ancient woodland sites and consequently helps to create and sustain much needed jobs in rural communities.
